Great Zambian Safari & Victoria Falls

On this safari we visit two fantastic national parks, feel the majesty of African rivers and get into the life of a vibrant African metropolis. We crown this unforgettable tour by experiencing the mighty Victoria Falls, one of the undoubted natural wonders of the World. We experience the nature by car, boat and foot as well as in night-drives, all part of an unforgettable Zambian safari.

Day 1 Depart on your flight to Zambia.
 Day 2 Arrival in Lusaka. Transfer to the comfortable & friendly Bongwe Guest House , located in a peaceful neighborhood in the city. 


Day 3 In the morning we depart for 4-5hr transfer to Lower Zambezi, using both car & boat. After arrival lunch at the camp, Munyemeshi. In the afternoon we do a short boat-cruise on the Zambezi River and after sunset-drinks we do a night-drive to see all the nocturnal creatures on move. Dinner at the camp. Day 4 We enjoy an early breakfast In authentic safari-style and head out for a full-day game-drive. We have a picnic-lunch in the bush and after sunset drinks return to the camp for a dinner. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 5 Morning-drive and a short walk to local rapids. After lunch and siesta at the camp, we make a canoe-safari on the mighty Zambezi. After witnessing the fantastic Zambezi-sunset we make a short night-drive before dinner. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 6 At sunrise we will depart for a walking-safari and meet the African wildlife on its’ own terms. This will provide us with an unforgettable experience. After a late breakfast we depart for Lusaka. At Bongwe Guest House we can can relax by the pool. Dinner at hotel. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 7 After breakfast we depart for a 4hr-drive to Kafue park, traversing through countryside and Miombo-forests to our camp, Mushingashi. After lunch a combined sunset & night-drive with drinks and return to the Camp for dinner. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 8 Early breakfast and departure for full-day game-drive. A picnic-style lunch in the bush. After dinner we sit by camp-fire, recalling days’ experiences. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 9 At sunrise we enjoy early tea and go for an exciting walking-safari. After lunch we make a game-drive and a short boat-trip on the Kafue River. Return after sunset for dinner at the Camp. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 10 In the morning we make the last of our game-drives in the park. We have a picnic-lunch in the bush and depart for Lusaka, where we will arrive well before sunset. Again we stay at Bongwe Guest House and those willing can depart for dinner in town. (Breakfast, Lunch)


Day 11 Today we make tour to see the lively pulse of Lusaka. In the afternoon we will fly to Livingstone at Victoria Falls. Transfer to Waterfront Lodge and dinner by the Zambezi River. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 12 After breakfast we make a guided tour to the Falls themselves. Victoria Falls, locally called Mosi-oa-Tunya ie.’ The Smoke That Thunders’, are 1.7 km wide and fall some 107 meters down, providing an amazing spectacle. Entry fees and drinks are included on the tour. There is a market by the gate where it is easy to purchase local crafts. In the afternoon we visit a living local village and get to know more of the traditional life. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 13 Free day. Opportunity to get to know better the town of Livingstone, visit the National Museum or take part in some of the numerous activities available, helicopter –flight over the Falls, the famous bungee-jump or river-rafting to mention a few. You can also visit the Falls on the Zimbabwean side, but then it is convenient to get a multiple visa for Zambia when first arriving in the country. We appropriately conclude our fantastic safari by taking a sunset-cruise (dinner & drinks included) on the mighty Zambezi River. (Breakfast, Dinner)


Day 14 After breakfast transfer to the airport and flight onwards. (Breakfast)

Destinations

Lower Zambezi National Park This fantastic park is combined of the Zambezi River, woodlands and plains with towering hills on the Northern edge. The park is well-known for its’ numerous elephants and hippos. Also different antelopes and lions are aroun and it is one of the best places in Zambia to view birds.

Kafue National Park  Kafue is one the largest of African parks, consisting of 22 400km2 along the Kafue River. The successful anti-poaching work during the last decades has brought its’ natural splendour to what it used to be. Kafue takes us back to times long-thought lost. Our camp is situated in a private concession so the peace within the nature is guaranteed. Lion, leopard and numerous other species make this place special.

Lusaka Quickly developing and vibrant capital of Zambia has approximately two million inhabitants. It provides a great contrast between hectic city-life and the natural peace in the parks.

Livingstone & Victoria Falls  Victoria Falls is one the greatest natural wonders of the World. Simply unforgettable. Livingstone is the tourism- and activity-capital of Zambia, while retaining a lot of its’ relaxed character. Local crafts widely available make a poignant reminder of your visit and no visit is fulfilled without a river-cruise and enjoying the famous Zambezi-sunset.
